How to Reach Papikodalu

It is a little bit of a remote point, and it requires a boat journey to reach Papikondalu. It usually starts at either Rajahmundry or Bhadrachalam in Andhra Pradesh and is most prevalent. The time on the boat is an experience in itself, as it gives you endless views along the river and the hills surrounding it.

Here the best route:

  • Bhadrachalam: The boat trip from Bhadrachalam is shorter, taking around 2–3 hours. However, it’s essential to note that boat services from Bhadrachalam operate less frequently compared to Rajahmundry.
  • From Rajahmundry: This is the most common starting point for Papikondalu tours. The boat ride from Rajahmundry takes around 4 hours and covers a distance of approximately 80 kilometers.
Best Time to Visit Papikondalu

The ideal time to visit Papikondalu is between October and March. During this period, the weather is pleasant, with cool breezes and comfortable temperatures. The monsoon season (July to September) can be risky due to potential flooding, while summers can be scorching hot and uncomfortable.
